Weapons for the warfare
We do not want to face the battle of life without preparing with spiritual weapons for the warfare.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; — 2 Corinthians 10:4
Many years ago, I remember going to a friend’s house and our plan was to go camping for the evening. We spoke about all the different things we might need for our camping adventure and who was going to bring what items. Not long after we arrived, we began preparing all of our items for the night.
Soon, the tent was put up and the campfire was ready. We were going to cook over the campfire and enjoy some a nice evening together. But we learned something challenging that night. We had not planned for everything as we had hoped.
The rain set in and we realized we had forgotten a rain cover for the tent. With so much rain, we realized that our fire was unable to survive. Soon, we were cold, wet, and miserable. Maybe due to some unfortunate weather, but certainly due to a lack of preparation.
In our lives, we face a battle each day as we go about this world. We must be prepared with our weapons for the warfare. Those weapons are not the weapons of this world, but spiritual weapons.
Certain weapons were given for each of us to use in preparation for the battle. The weapon of prayer that helps us talk to God. Then there is the Bible that is the word of God to guide us through life. Each plays an important role in surviving the battle.
Are you utilizing the spiritual weapons for the warfare of life? Do you spend time in prayer, reading God’s word, and preparing for the battle? You do not want to face the battle of life without preparing with the spiritual weapons for warfare!

God bless you for taking the time to spread his word...
