Putting purpose back into view
God created you for a purpose and you are still alive to fulfill it.
The LORD hath made all things for himself. — Proverbs 16:4
I learned many years ago that there is something important about purpose. I was leading a team of people at the time and they were having difficulty getting along. Instead of working together as a team, they had started arguing, fighting, and working against each other.
I decided to have a meeting with the team. We all sat down in a room and I started to ask them each to share why they continued to work there. There were a lot of different reasons that were given, but the overwhelming response was that they wanted to help people get better. It was a healthcare office and that’s the ultimate purpose of why the office existed!
After going around the room, I shared with the group that they all shared a common pupose, but they had lost sight of their purpose. Instead of focusing on others, they were focused on problems or themselves. Soon, they started realizing I was right and the environment around the office started to change.
There are many times in life we become discouraged because we lose sight of our own purpose in life. We can often feel as though we are worthless, hopeless, or failures. We often let problems or our interactions with others get in the way.
This verse reminds us of our purpose. We were not made for ourselves, but for God. Our purpose is to live for Him and serve Him. Maybe you are feeling discouraged, frustrated, or even hopeless, but you shouldn’t. God has a purpose and plan for you. He created you for it and you are still alive to fulfill it. Start putting your purpose back into view and you will start seeing a change in your situation too!
...God bless you for your work...
Love God,
Love others,
Serve both.
