Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. — Acts 4:12
Not long ago, I received a message from my wife about something that our son had done. She heard him from another room talking to our dog. It sounded like he was lecturing the dog, so she listened to hear what he was saying.
As she relayed the story, she shared how our son had been sharing with the dog the importance of Jesus. He shared how everyone is gong to die one day. With a camera, she recorded him saying these words, “We’re all doomed. But surprise, Jesus. He’s beautiful. He’s wonderful.”
Those words are simple, yet so powerful! Yes, apart from Jesus, we are all doomed. We are all sinners in need of a Savior. How beautiful and how wonderful He really is!
There’s nothing easy about this life. Days can be difficult. Experiences can get us down. But I am glad there is one who cared so much to give His life for us. He made away so that this world is the worst we will ever have!
It isn’t the President. It isn’t the Pope either. Surprise, it’s Jesus! As Isaiah proclaimed in 9:6, He truly is wonderful, He is mighty, He is everlasting, and even in the middle of this chaotic world, He can give you peace. What a Savior!
God bless you.
